Simplyhealth names new non-executive director
Simplyhealth has announced the appointment of Alexandra Pike as its newest non-executive director, subject to approval by the Financial Conduct Authority.
Ms Pike can offer extensive knowledge and experience of the consumer health and wellbeing markets, having recently stepped down from a full-time role as global vice-president of the Unilever subsidiary Simple Skincare.
She spent the past five years as vice-chair of the NHS Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospital Foundation Trust and chair of NHS Organ Donation, while her background also includes a number of marketing and communications roles.
Jamie Wilson, customer director and executive board member at Simplyhealth, said: "Excellent customer service has always been our core focus and with Alexandra's support, we hope to further enhance the service we provide."
The company also announced the appointment of James Glover as corporate affairs director and company secretary this week.
It comes after Simplyhealth subsidiary Denplan agreed a deal to acquire The Animal Healthcare Company earlier in the month.
