Simplyhealth provides baby equipment for Manchester charity

11th September 2014

Simplyhealth has announced that it will be providing almost 3,000 pounds' worth of baby equipment to Wood Street Mission, a charity helping disadvantaged people in Manchester and Salford.

A total of 30 prams, 20 travel cots and 20 high chairs will be provided to the not-for-profit organisation, which helped almost 7,000 children and 3,000 families living in poverty last year alone.

It provides items such as clothes and bedding as part of its clothing project to help alleviate the effects of low incomes, with Simplyhealth's support set to make a significant difference.

Wood Street Mission's humanitarian work resulted in the charity earning a prestigious Queen's Award for Voluntary Service.

James Glover, spokesperson for Simplyhealth, said: "We've supported Wood Street Mission in previous years with its school uniform project and we are delighted to be able to support this worthwhile charity again."

Simplyhealth has active community funds in four of its locations – Andover, Bristol, Leeds and Manchester. It provided support for Naomi House's Rainbow Run charity event in Southampton earlier this week.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801748090-ADNFCR
