Simplyhealth provides cash donation for Andover youth football programme
Simplyhealth has provided a donation of 12,000 pounds to support a local youth football programme in Andover.
Run by Lions in the Community, the scheme encompasses the provision of summer activity camps for children in the region, giving boys and girls alike the opportunity to play in tournaments and develop a wide range of life skills.
Money from Simplyhealth will be used to fund the continuation of these summer activities and to specifically enhance the girls' football programme, as well as to enhance the skill base of the volunteer coaches.
The dental and health insurer is dedicated to supporting philanthropic activities in Andover, where it is headquartered.
Mark Hamson, spokesperson for Simplyhealth, said: "Not only is sport a fun extracurricular activity, it is also an integral part of children's health and wellbeing and we are delighted to offer Lions in the Community our support for the fourth year running."
This comes after the company provided sponsorship last week for the eighth annual Leeds Midnight Walk, which was held in aid of St Gemma's Hospice.
