Simplyhealth provides donation to St Peter’s Hospice
Simplyhealth has helped to raise more than 5,300 pounds to local Bristol charity St Peter's Hospice, which has recently celebrated its 35th anniversary.
Staff from the dental and health insurer's Bristol branch held a series of competitions and contests within the five floors of their office to see which of them could raise the most cash, with a grand total of 1,880 pounds being generated.
An additional sum of 3,500 pounds was then added by Simplyhealth, which will help the hospice to meet the daily cost – around 18,000 pounds – needed to provide high-quality care free of charge to terminally ill patients.
Simplyhealth has active community funds in four of its locations – Andover, Bristol, Leeds and Manchester – and regularly makes contributions to charitable organisations in each of these regions.
Jamie Wilson, spokesperson for Simplyhealth, said: "We had a great day raising money for this fantastic charity to celebrate its 35th year of serving people in Bristol, as well as our own anniversary of five years as Simplyhealth."
This comes after the firm provided 2,000 pounds to the Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity last month, which will be used to help purchase entertainment products for teenagers at Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester.
