Simplyhealth to offer support for Leeds Midnight Walk
Simplyhealth has announced that it will be providing a cash donation to support the Leeds Midnight Walk, an event held in aid of St Gemma's Hospice.
The dental and health insurance provider is supporting the walk for the second year running with a 6,000 pound donation, which will go towards helping the hospice to provide high-quality palliative care.
Now in its ninth year, the Leeds Midnight Walk is a women-only event that sees participants walking seven or ten miles around Kirkstall, Horsforth and West Park from late Saturday evening until early Sunday morning.
Last year, more than 850 women took part in the walk, raising in excess of 99,000 pounds for St Gemma's Hospice.
Raman Sankaran, spokesperson for Simplyhealth, said: "It's events like these which enables St Gemma's Hospice to continue with the fantastic work they do to provide specialist medical nursing care to terminally ill people in Leeds."
Earlier this week, the company expanded its capabilities with the acquisition of Care and Mobility, a well-established mobility business based in the West Midlands.
