Sirona introduces new dental power turbine
Sirona has unveiled a new dental power turbine that allows precise preparations to be completed in a shorter time.
The new SIROBoost device was introduced at the International Dental Show and is a 22-watt instrument that features high torque, a comfortable design and quiet operation.
Sirona has optimised the unit to provide continuous airflow to prevent rotation from prematurely slowing, meaning procedures can be finished more quickly without the need to repeatedly stop and start the instrument.
Other benefits of the device include its 25,000 lux LED light and small head size, which makes hard-to-reach areas of the mouth easily accessible.
Eric Berndt, product manager for Sirona, said: "With the combination of its product characteristics … the SIROBoost turbine makes treatment easier and gives the best results during preparation."
This comes after the company unveiled its new inFire HTC high-temperature furnace for the production of dental materials in January 2011.
