Sirona introduces version 4.4 of Cerec Premium software
Sirona has announced the launch of Cerec Premium 4.4, the latest version of its CAD/CAM software for dental practice labs.
Linking the integrated patient-oriented workflow of the Cerec chairside software with the wide range of indications of inLab software, the tools allows work including crowns, bridges and other sophisticated restorations to be carried out using a single software platform.
With the newest version, it will also be possible to construct and produce crown copings, bridge frameworks, bridges with anatomical connectors, bars and telescopes, meaning many indications can now be performed without having to be sent outside the practice.
Other improvements to the machining process include the innovative Biojaw algorithm and the access the software provides to dental tooth databases, as well as its compatibility with the Sirona Connect Portal.
The company said: "Sirona's new Cerec Premium SW 4.4 now allows dentists with a practice lab to treat cases that go beyond what could previously be handled chairside."
Sirona's Cerec Omnicam and Cerec Bluecam tools can be used for intraoral scanning, but the software also supports the company's extraoral scanners inEos X5 and inEos Blue, facilitating the handling of even complex cases.
