Sirona reaches sales milestone for C8 Plus
Sirona has hailed the success of its C8 Plus dental treatment centre after passing a milestone sales total.
The company manufactured its 30,000th C8 Plus unit at its Bensheim factory earlier this year, which was sold to the China-based business Arrail, which already has more than 90 units on order.
Sirona originally designed the system, previously known as the C8, for the emerging Asian and Latin American markets in 1998, with the device offering simple, flexible operation and reliability.
It was revamped in 2003 with a variety of new features, such as an easier means of replacing and fitting instrument tubing, with the new model called the C8 Plus.
The manufacturer noted that the device has also achieved success in Europe and the Middle East, adding: "Customers around the world are convinced by the reliable technology, the timeless, attractive design and the high quality of the C8 Plus."
Last month, Sirona launched the inFire HTC, a new high-temperature furnace for use in the production of dental materials.
