Smart Integration Award Commends Women in Dentistry

Dentsply Sirona was held as a virtual awards ceremony this year and hosted candidates from over 40 different countries.

The Smart Integration Award aims to celebrate the achievements of pioneering women who provide innovative medical solutions in a laboratories or smartly integrated practices.

Dental specialists and professionals from across the globe presented their thoughts for incorporating digital innovations into practices and dental laboratory facilities to help enhance patient experience during treatment.

There were five groups of awards: “Digital Clinical Workflow”, “Digital Patient Communication”, “Innovative Infection Control and Prevention”, “Management of Dental Equipment”, and “Smart Lab-Dentist Cooperation”.

Vice President at Dentsply Sirona, Terri Dolan, said “The significant interest from women worldwide shows us how important awards like this are. They recognize achievement and boost professional confidence, helping us promote gender parity in dentistry to support the next generation of female leaders.”

The prize for the winners of the Smart Integration Award was leaving for a 2-day course which covered training, conferences, workshops and more. These people then immediately join the “Smart Integration Network” where members use their practical knowledge to improve Dentsply Sirona’s current products as well as creating fresh solutions.

The company has started ERG’s (Employee Resource Groups) to employ equality and inclusion for everyone.
