Smith and Nephew launches NPWT products

Smith and Nephew has launched a range of negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) products which it states are both easy to use and cost-effective.

The new Renasys Go system is designed to address the needs of clinicians and patients.

According to the firm behind the product, it is lightweight, portable and can be used with the Renasys-F foam and the Renasys-G gauze wound interfaces.

Joe Woody, president of advanced wound management at the business, commented: “Smith and Nephew understands that in the more ambulatory wound care environments, ease of use and cost effectiveness are paramount.”

He added that the company can drive greater clinical innovation and research, improve patient outcomes and offer greater value for healthcare organisations by providing clinicians with a greater choice in NPWT.

Renasys Go weighs less than three pounds, comes in a discrete carry case, has a frosted canister to minimise the visibility of exudates, includes multiple alarms to enhance patient safety and reduces the risk of error due to is digital settings.
