Smiths Medical announces new corporate image

6th March 2007

Smiths Medical has announced the launch of a new corporate identity. With this new image, the company’s product portfolio will be divided into 12 brands, with the brand name clearly displayed on product packaging for consumers.

The company will unite over 120 of its products into these brands, with its worldwide business integrated as critical care and safety devices, medication delivery and patient monitoring.

Brand names include Cozmore for insulin technology, Deltec for long-term vascular access systems and Portex peripheral block systems and Pneupac for transport ventilator system, among others.

Srini Seshardri, group managing director of Smiths Medical, said: “The new Smiths Medical image is an evolution of our visual identity.

“It represents our renewed commitment to and focus on our customers, and our global reputation as a well-established, leading medical device manufacturer.”

He added that the new corporate identity would aim to better project the scope of the company’s product portfolio while retaining the firm’s brand values.

Smiths Medical employs 7,500 people worldwide, with its manufacturing operations mainly located in the US, UK, Mexico and Italy, while sales and distribution is conducted through local distribution companies in most countries.

The company is part of the Smiths group that divested its aerospace business earlier this year.
