Source BioScience launches new STI home testing kit

Source BioScience has announced the launch of its new ST10 home sampling kit for easy diagnosis of sexually-transmitted infections (STIs).

The new kit allows users to test for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis, herpes simplex 1 and 2, Trichomoniasis, Mycoplasma hominis, Mycoplasma genitalium, Ureaplasm urealyticum and chancroid.

It is the latest addition to the company's Just Between Us online STI testing service, which offers sexual health guidance, home sampling, accredited laboratory diagnostics, and access to counselling and support.

Dr Nick Ash, chief executive officer of Source BioScience, said: "Just Between Us has been providing online access to sexual health testing for over three years, and during this period more than 100,000 people have used the service every year."

This comes after the firm recently expanded the Just Between Us offering with the addition of five home sampling tests – for conditions such as HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B and C – as well as an online prescription service.
