Source BioScience launches new version of GenomeCUBE search engine

4th September 2014

Source BioScience has announced the launch of an updated version of its GenomeCUBE search engine, its search and buying tool for clone, antibody and protein products.

The service gives researchers easy access to millions of life science products, as well as scientific and technical support services from Source BioScience.

GenomeCUBE searches public databases and the company's own stores of clone libraries and individual clone sets, associated antibodies and kits. The system now also includes protein databases to identify gene related antibodies, reagents and kits in one place.

Researchers will be able to use it to access reference content on each of the products – including real-time annotated information from multiple public databases – and purchase anything they require directly through the search engine in as few as three clicks.

Dr Nick Ash, chief executive officer of Source BioScience, said: "We believe the market needs a search engine of this type to enable researchers to access millions of clones, hundreds of thousands of antibodies and the ability to purchase the reagents and kits from one source."

During the first half of 2014, the company generated a revenue total of 12.8 million pounds – up by 46 percent year on year.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801746714-ADNFCR
