Source BioScience launches US operations

Source BioScience has announced the official launch of its US operations, which will be based at sites in Los Angeles and Atlanta.

The British firm will be offering a range of services to companies across the country, including state-of-the-art products, an overnight service for DNA sequencing and the world's largest cloning resource.

Both US offices will provide pharma and biopharma stability storage services, which are fully compliant with the highest regulatory standards, while the LA facility also offer Drug Enforcement Administration-compliant storage.

The launch was marked with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at the LA site, which was attended by local politicians, as well as Lucy Gharibian of UK Trade and Investment.

Dr Nick Ash, chief executive officer at Source BioScience, said: "With our world-leading sequencing capabilities, enhanced product portfolio and bio storage facilities, we know we can make a significant contribution to life science research in California and across the US."

This comes after the firm opened a new Irish DNA sequencing facility in Tramore, County Waterford earlier this year.
