Spreckley opens new Scottish satellite office
Spreckley has opened a new satellite office in Stirling, central Scotland, which will deliver integrated communication services to the growing Scottish tech market.
The Stirling site will offer easy access to key Scottish tech hubs such as Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Inverness and Aberdeen, allowing Spreckley to provide regional outreach services, as well as access to international markets through its central London head office.
Account director Nick Bird will lead the Stirling office, with this move coming as part of a wider region-wide strategy emphasising business development in major tech hubs. There is potential scope to expand these efforts into other areas of the UK.
Richard Merrin, managing director of Spreckley, said: "Often there is a tendency to bypass regional markets in favour of staying loyal to cities such as London and Manchester – doing so means huge, untapped potential is being overlooked."
Scotland's tech sector has grown at a rate of 43.4 percent over the last five years, which is second only to London in the UK. Start-ups such as Fanduel, Outplay, Skyscanner and Rockstar North have all been established in the country, while firms like Microsoft, Apple and Amazon have set up premises in Edinburgh.
