Steris expresses satisfaction with Q3 2014 performance
Steris has announced its financial results for the third quarter of the 2014 fiscal year, during which it saw a seven percent year-on-year increase in revenues.
The company's sales total for the three-month period ending on December 31st 2013 came to $405.6 million (247.4 million pounds), driven by solid organic performance and particularly strong results from the US market.
Although these figures were offset slightly by a decline in international revenue and profitability, the organisation still expects extremely strong results during the fourth quarter of 2014, which is still on course to be a record-breaking year.
Its healthcare, life sciences and Isomedix divisions are all expected to see revenue growth during the current three-month period.
Walt Rosebrough, president and chief executive officer of Steris, said: "The third quarter was another good quarter for us with solid organic revenue growth and record backlog in the healthcare segment."
Steris is one of the world's leading vendors of infection prevention, contamination control, surgical and critical care technologies. It was founded as Innovative Medical Technologies in 1985 and rebranded as Steris two years later.
