Stryker acquires Stanmore Implants Worldwide
Stryker has announced the acquisition of the innovative orthopaedic business Stanmore Implants Worldwide from SIW Holdings.
The all-cash transaction has been valued at 35.6 million pounds, giving Stryker access to a range of products for adult and juvenile orthopaedic oncology applications.
Stanmore Implants' portfolio includes both patient-specific and off-the-shelf implant systems for limb salvage, with these differentiated technologies designed to provide the most effective solutions for orthopaedic oncology surgeons.
The newly-acquired business believes the combination with Stryker gives it an opportunity to reach a broader group of patients worldwide.
David Floyd, group president for Stryker Orthopaedics, said: "This addition underscores Stryker's commitment to our core joint replacement business and expands our presence in the global orthopaedic oncology market."
This comes after the company completed its acquisitions of Sage Products, Physio-Control International and the neuro portfolio of Synergetics USA last month.
