Stryker and IUIH partner to deliver orthopaedic care in India

Stryker has announced a new partnership with the Indo UK Institute of Health (IUIH) that aims to provide access to more affordable orthopaedic care for people in India.

The 20-year collaboration will see the company work with the IUIH medicity programme, serving as a preferred partner in the orthopaedic areas of hip, knee and trauma products and services.

This will help patients in India gain access to affordable primary joint replacements and other healthcare services, leveraging Stryker's portfolio of high-standard implants and products, streamlined patient pathways and commercial service quality.

Additionally, Stryker has committed to sponsoring a postgraduate training and education centre on the campus of one of IUIH's medicities, as well as a research and development collaboration collaboration with based at Stryker's global technology centre in India.

Kevin Lobo, chairman and chief executive officer of Stryker, said the partnership will "make quality healthcare more accessible and affordable to the people of India, not only through the broad portfolio of products that we offer, but also in our commitment to research and medical education".
