Synergy announces first-quarter sales growth
Synergy saw its sales in the UK and Ireland grow by 10.8 percent in the first fiscal quarter of the 2011/2012 year to reach £38.6 million.
Figures for Europe & the Middle East, and Asia & Africa were also firmly in positive territory, rising 7.5 percent and 14.1 percent respectively.
The company suggested this upward trend should continue for the rest of the year, as it has started new projects with Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals, Sheffield Teaching Hospital's NHS Trust and the Children's Hospital Trust.
In the trading update, a representative from the firm stated: "These new contracts, combined with the phased start of the North Lincolnshire NHS Foundation Trust later in the year and a strong bid pipeline, should increase our growth rate."
This comes following the news that Malaysian sterilisation company Sterilgamma has been acquired by Synergy Health Group. The organisation provides outsourced Gamma and Ethylene oxide sterilisation services.
