Synergy Vision managing director named trustee of Cystic Fibrosis Trust
Synergy Vision has announce that its managing director Ffyona Dawber has been appointed as a trustee by the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Ms Dawber brings considerable healthcare experience to her new role on the charity's board of trustees, not only from her time running the medical communications agency, but also across a decade of working in the pharmaceutical industry and serving patients directly as a nurse.
She also cited the fact she has friends and family living with cystic fibrosis as a key motivator for her efforts to raise awareness about the real-life impact of the condition. The aim of her work with the charity will be to provide people with understandable information about their condition and the medications they are taking.
Ms Dawber said: "Cystic fibrosis research is a huge focus for both academia and the pharmaceutical industry. It feels like we are starting to turn a corner in identifying long-awaited treatments."
Earlier this year, Synergy Vision achieved a sixth place ranking in the small business category at the UK's Best Workplaces Awards 2016, organised annually by Great Places to Work UK.
Its positive working culture and focus on staff development were cited as key reasons for this recognition.
