Sysmex Analyzers to be introduced at all WADA approved laboratories

Sysmex provides hematology analyzers which detect information related to red blood cell production with a high degree of sensitivity and reproducibility, helping the implementation of strict but fair doping tests. The World Anti-Doping Agency has decided to introduce Sysmex’s XN-Series automated hematology analyzers at all WADA-accredited and approved laboratories throughout the world that conduct Athlete Biological Passport tests because of the high measurement precision, and Sysmex’s quality control service and robust support structure that delivers stable and highly reliable measurement results. Athlete Biological Passport blood tests for international sporting federations and anti-doping agencies in several countries will begin this month.
Doping tests require results that are comparable and traceable over time, regardless of the testing institution or location, and the global adoption of Sysmex’s XN-Series will ensure test results at individual laboratories are accurately compared, resulting in higher-quality, more efficient and more streamlined Athlete Biological Passport operations globally.
