Takeda appoints new global advisory board member
Takeda has appointed Bruno Angelici as a new member of its global advisory board, taking up the position vacated by Dr Frank Morich.
Mr Angelici, who has previously served in executive roles for companies such as AstraZeneca and Baxter, will aid the board in providing Takeda with guidance to inform its global management and product development strategies.
He assumes his new role today (October 1st 2010) to coincide with Dr Morich's transition into his new responsibilities as Takeda's executive vice-president for international operations.
Mr Angelici said: "I am very much looking forward to contributing to Takeda's initiatives for sustainable growth with my knowledge and experience in global business in this industry that I have acquired through my past career."
Takeda president and chief executive officer Yasuchika Hasegawa also expressed confidence that the appointment will aid the company's transformation into a "new Takeda".
Last month, Takeda welcomed a decision by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence to recommend angiotensin receptor blockers licensed for heart failure, a class of drugs which includes its product Amias.
