Teva launches nebivolol in UK

Teva UK has announced the launch of generic Nebivolol tablets in the UK.

The generic formulation of Nebilet from Menarini will be available immediately in the Teva 360 livery.

It will be on offer to pharmacies as 5mg tablets in packs of 28, with a retail price for the drug being 7.85 pounds.

Kim Innes, commercial director of the company, said: “We?re delighted to be adding this important new product to our ever-expanding generics range.”

She added the compound is another key addition to the company’s product portfolio and follows its recent launch of Biclaumide to consolidate the firm’s position as the leading supplier of generic medication in the UK.

Last month, Teva UK took a step forward in its UK investment programme at a ceremony where it ceremonially buried a time capsule at the site of its new logistics centre and head office.
