Teva launches Partnership Working initiative with Leicester NHS trust
Teva has announced the launch of a new Partnership Working initiative with the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, as part of its ongoing efforts to help improve performance within the NHS.
The initiative aims to improve patient management of asthma through the use of a special app, which will distributed to patients by healthcare professional working for the trust.
More of these initiatives will be developed over the course of the year, and will help the NHS to reduce waste, improve the cost-efficiency of prescription and enhance compliance, particularly in the field of respiratory conditions.
Working with the NHS to improve patient care and provide educational information is a key element of Teva's operating model in the UK.
The company said: "We are committed to continuing to develop NHS Partnership Working initiatives and aim to be rolling more out throughout the course of 2015 and beyond."
Teva also helps the NHS save money through the production of generic medicines, which help to reduce the cost of drugs nationwide by more than 12 billion pounds a year.
