Teva named UK’s best generics company for 14th straight year

Teva has retained its title as the UK's best generics company at this year's Pharmacy Business Awards.

Voted by the readers of Pharmacy Business Magazine, the awards are presented annually and have now seen Teva claim the prize for best generics company for 14 consecutive years.

The company's generics offering, which includes a community pharmacy partnership scheme, services and customer service, won praise at the Pharmacy Business Awards ceremony, having been voted as the industry's best by its customers.

Bruno Barcelos, senior director for generics at Teva UK, said: "The team and I are really proud of this and are constantly working to make sure that our offering is tailored to our customers' and their patients' needs."

The company recently announced that it will be selling off the UK assets and operations of Actavis Generics to Accord Healthcare, thus fulfilling the terms set out by the European Commission for approval of its acquisition of Actavis Generics earlier this year.
