Teva UK appoints new general manager

Teva UK has announced the appointment of industry veteran Steve Oldfield as its new general manager for the UK and Ireland.

Mr Oldfield has worked in commercial roles within the pharmaceutical and allied industries for almost three decades, with his most recent position being that of UK managing director at Sanofi.

He has also served as industry chair of the Medicines Access Group, chair of the European Medicines Group and board member at the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry.

In this new role, he will be aiming to promote further growth for Teva UK while maintaining its reputation for strong customer service.

Richard Daniell, former managing director of Teva UK and current chief operating officer for growth markets, said: "Teva is in very capable hands with Steve at the helm, supported by a fantastic management team, and I am sure it will continue to go from strength to strength."

The company has been voted generics manufacturer of the year for 12 consecutive years at the annual Pharmacy Business Awards.
