Teva UK teams with IHP to provide aid for Gaza

27th August 2014

Teva UK has allied with International Health Partners (IHP) to provide medical aid to civilians affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

IHP recently approached the company to lend assistance in response to the escalating military conflict in the region, which has seen thousands of people being displaced and supplies of essential medical equipment stretched to breaking point.

The firm has therefore agreed to provide a range of medicines including antibiotics, antiviral medication, pain relievers, cholesterol reducers and nebules, with more than one million individual doses of medicine to be sent over.

IHP regularly partners with companies and charities to provide donated medical aid to organisations serving children and adults in the neediest and poorest communities around the world.

"Having been a valued partner of IHP for a number of years we, at Teva, are proud to be offering our support to those affected," said the company in a statement.

Headquartered in Israel, Teva is one of the world's leading providers of generic medicines, with approximately 850 molecules available globally.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801744912-ADNFCR
