Teva wins environment and health and safety awards

23rd October 2017

Teva has been handed a pair of prestigious environmental and health and safety awards by the British Safety Council.

At its 60th anniversary celebrations, the council awarded Teva the Sword of Honour and Globe of Honour, after demonstrating consistent excellence in the management of its health, safety and environmental standards.

The company was eligible for these prizes after receiving maximum five- star ratings in British Safety Council audits during the period from August 2016 to July 2017, one of only around 80 organisations to do so.

It was also able to demonstrate to an independent panel of experts that their management standards are consistently high across all divisions of the business. The awards are specific to Teva's Castleford site, but it was noted that the entire organisation uses similar practices.

This is the second year running that Teva has achieved this double win, making it one of only 11 companies worldwide to have been awarded this honour.

Chris Bratt, health, safety and risk manager at Teva, said: "It's testament to the hard work that goes on behind the scenes in our organisation, and our ongoing commitment to being a socially and environmentally responsible business."
