Text100 names new head of UK operations

Text100 has announced that Tara O'Donnell, vice-president of its New York office, has been appointed as the new head of its UK operations.

Ms O'Donnell will move to London to lead the team, taking responsibility for driving growth and developing its strategy, while working alongside key clients such as Skype, Vodafone, BlackBerry and SanDisk.

She has been with Text100 since 2006, helping to establish a consumer and entertainment practice that now accounts for 30 percent of the agency's client portfolio in North America.

Formerly employed by companies such as Samsung, she can boast almost two decades of relevant industry experience. Her appointment follows the departure from the role of Dan Baxter earlier this year.

Cecile Missildine, regional director for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region at Text100, said: "Tara understands our values and ethos, and her consumer experience will bring a fresh perspective as we move forward with our integrated strategy."

Text100 is one of the world's largest comms agencies, with more than 500 members of staff located at 45 offices across the globe.
