The AWF has appointed 4 new specialists to its board of trustees
The Animal Welfare Foundation (AWF) has recently appointed 4 of the UK’s major animal welfare scientists and vet surgeons to its board of trustees, to ensure that the charity continues to develop animal welfare through, supporting veterinary education, funding research and encouraging their exchanging views on animal welfare matters.
The leading trustees include biologist Charlotte Burn, zoo and wildlife specialists Justine Shotton and Romain Pizzi, and equine vet Deidre Carson.
Chris Laurence, the AWF chairman of trustees, stated: “I am delighted to welcome Romain, Justine, Deidre and Charlotte to the AWF board. They bring with them an enormous range of knowledge, skills and expertise, which will be critical to helping us advance our mission and continue to fund quality research, support veterinary education and encourage debate on animal welfare issues.”
