The Launch of ConvaFoam by Convatec

ConvaFoamTM, a series of cutting-edge foam wound dressings, has officially been launched by Convatec in the United States.

ConvaFoamTM is the straightforward option for wound care and skin protection since it can be used on a variety of injuries at any point in the healing process.

Head of Convatec’s Advanced Wound Care division, David Shepherd, said that they have “created a high-performance product range that makes the choice of dressings simpler for healthcare professionals, caregivers and patients.”

The ConvaFoam dressings feature an additional permeable layer to increase the rates of absorption, a textured material to help control any liquid seeping out, and improved silicone technology that sticks for longer, absorbs better and can be last for a week.

Moreover, ConvaFoam may be trimmed to adjust the fit, making it easier to apply to challenging places.

According to market research, 72% of consumers are able to swap out and apply their own wound dressings, leaving 23% who need assistance from a carer or household member. Yet, 44% say they have trouble following their treatment plan.

Convatec has included QR codes to all ConvaFoam product packaging with a link to online instructions in order to help and direct consumers on how to use the dressings should they be unsure.
