The UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory authorisation approves J&J’s single-dose vaccine

The UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory authorisation has recently proclaimed that they’ve approved Johnson and Johnson’s single-dose COVID-19 vaccine.

Despite the UK Vaccine Taskforce securing thirty million doses of Johnson and Johnson’s Janssen COVID-19 vaccine, the UK has changed the amount and is now set to receive twenty million doses of the jab. The more moderate volume of doses reflects the unprecedented pace of the UK’s vaccination programme.

Nadhim Zahawi, vaccine deployment minister, stated: “The Janssen vaccine will be another weapon in our arsenal to beat this pandemic. We are doing everything we can to vaccinate all adults as quickly as possible and I encourage everybody to come forward for a jab as soon as they are eligible.”
