Thermo Fisher Nalgene unveils new tank liners

24th August 2007

Thermo Fisher Nalgene has released a new series of tank liners for use with the company’s cylindrical tanks.

Cleaning is made faster and easier by the use of the fluid handling system due to its open top and flat bottom, the company suggests.

Meanwhile, the liners are non-pyrogenic, non-cytotoxic and food-grade, as well as conforming to Class VI of the United States Pharmacopeia’s (USP) standards.

"Our development of the tank liners came about through requests from our customers – we now offer a single source solution for liners and tanks," explains Ken Falkowitz, director of marketing for bioproduction and original equipment manufacturer products.

Liners may be purchased in gamma-irradiated or non-irradiated varieties and are constructed from co-extruded low-density polyethylene film.

Capacities of 19 litres to 787 litres are available, with the range comprising a total of ten different sizes.

The USP proposes that imposing standards and providing clear information is an effective means of helping patients and practitioners to improve healthcare.ADNFCR-1050-ID-18257154-ADNFCR
