Thermo Fisher Scientific announces new software for Accela system

20th September 2007

Thermo Fisher Scientific yesterday announced the launch of the Atlas chromatography data system (CDS) add-on software for the Accela high-speed liquid chromatography (LC) kit.

According to the firm, the new software will provide consumers with digital data acquisition, integrated instrument control, chromatography data processing and reporting.

Designed to combine the rapid data analysis, processing and reporting of Atlas with the high-speed LC separations of Accela, the new extension kit incorporates full instrument control and chromatography data handling for the Accela high-speed pump, PDA detector and autosampler.

With sub two-micron particle columns, the Accela high-speed LC can separate samples more quickly and with improved resolution and efficiency on the same instrument and can operate at standard pressures of conventional HPLC to 15,000 psi, according to Thermo Fisher Scientific.

It was also announced by the company yesterday that it had launched an interactive informatics assessment tool for current and prospective customers.
