Thermo Fisher Scientific launches its MAS Omni Infectious Disease Quality Control Sets

Thermo Fisher Scientific recently announced the availability of its MAS Omni Infectious Disease quality control sets, for monitoring serological assays for analytes, including Hepatitis B and C, HIV one and two, HTLV one and two, as well as Syphilis.

Serology screening is on the rise for infectious diseases, and the new instrument systems provide higher sensitivity to serology markers. Furthermore, there is a constant improvement with contagious disease screening protocols which require serology testing for monitoring, treatment of infectious agents and diagnosis.

The MAS Omni Infectious negative and positive quality control are independent external controls used to assess the performance of serological assays for diseases which are infectious. Also, Thermo Fisher’s new control set supports tests for Hepatitis C and B. HIV, Syphilis and HTLV.
