Thermo Fisher Scientific launches quantitative cell-based imaging solution
Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced the launch of a new high-content quantitative imaging and analysis platform through its Life Technologies brand.
The Thermo Scientific CeLLInsight CX5 High Content Screening Platform is powered by the company's new HCS Studio 2.0 Cell Analysis Software and adds near-IR capability, meaning it now offers true five-colour spectral illumination.
Meanwhile, seven new validated assays have been added to the platform, as well as the capability to accept images for analysis in many different formats. It means researchers can seamlessly import images from EVOS Microscope Platforms, as well as access Molecular Probes fluorescent reagents for imaging in multiple colours.
Scott Keefer, manager of cell analysis product marketing for Thermo Fisher Scientific, said: "This new product offering allows users even more flexibility when coupled with the world-class microscopy and fluorescent detection tools offered through our Life Technologies brand."
Thermo Fisher continues to build the capabilities of its subsidiary following the completion of its takeover deal earlier this year.
