Thermo Fisher Scientific presents new product portfolio at AACC 2016

Thermo Fisher Scientific has attended the recent American Association of Clinical Chemistry (AACC) Annual Meeting and Clinical Lab Expo, where it showcased its latest offerings.

The company was present at the conference in Pennsylvania from July 31st to August 4th to showcase its expanded offering of new assays, instruments and software, which are designed for both the research and clinical settings.

Among the products on display were the Thermo Scientific DRI Hydrocodone assay, a means of detecting opioid abuse, and the Thermo Scientific BRAHMS Procalcitonin assay, developed to help prevent sepsis in hospital patients.

Also exhibited were the Prelude LX-4 MD HPLC multichannel instrument for in vitro diagnostic applications, and two new EliA IgG tests for detecting anti-thyroglobulin and anti-thyroid peroxidase autoantibodies in serum or plasma.

Finally, the company showed off its LabLink xL 2.0 quality assurance software, which provides accurate results in clinical chemistry methods.
