Thermo Fisher Scientific products to feature at exposition

Thermo Fisher Scientific has revealed that its range of instrumentation, equipment, consumables and food safety testing software is to be exhibited at the AOAC International Annual Meeting and Exposition.

The event, which runs until September 17th, will see the group displaying its testing solutions for four key applications – pathogens, pesticide screening, veterinary drug residues and traceability,

Its full portfolio of food safety products will also be available in Thermo Fisher Scientific booth numbers 205, 207, 209 and 211.

Marc Casper, chief operating officer of the organisation, commented: "As more instances of contamination reach the public eye, global companies and regulatory agencies are looking for technological solutions that increase testing speed, accuracy and throughput."

Earlier this month, Thermo Fisher Scientific announced that it has signed a contract to acquire in-vitro diagnostic tests specialist BRAHMS AG for 330 million euros (287 million pounds).

The transaction is due to be completed in 2010.
