Thermo Fisher Scientific showcases portfolio at Arab Health Conference
Thermo Fisher Scientific will showcase its unmatched depth of capabilities for customers working in clinical laboratories at the Arab Health Conference this month.
During the event, which is running from now until January 29th, the firm will continue its efforts to expand its presence in the Middle East to align with customer demand for technology to help improve accuracy and productivity in clinical diagnostic testing.
Syed Jafry, senior vice-president and president of Asia-Pacific and emerging markets at Thermo Fisher Scientific, said: "We are uniquely positioned to help these customers drive innovation and productivity in their labs, and ultimately deliver better patient care at lower costs."
The company will showcase its industry-leading portfolio during the event, which is being held at the International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Dubai.
With its annual spending for research and development reaching $700 million (460 million pounds), the firm continues to strengthen its innovative solution offerings.
For example, the newly-launched semi-conductor-based Ion PGM Dx Sequencer equips scientists with the tools they need to perform cost-effective and targeted gene panel sequencing.
The PGM Dx system delivers the speed and simplicity of the Ion Torrent platform, according to Thermo Fisher Scientific, combining key workflow advantages that are designed for regulated laboratory environments.
