Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Vanquish Flex UHPLC system wins innovation award
Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced that its Vanquish Flex ultra-high performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) system has won an award for innovation.
The system has been included in R&D Magazine's list of the 100 most innovative products of 2016. Presented annually, the R&D 100 Awards recognise the most significant technology advances across industry, academia and government-sponsored research in a given year.
Vanquish Flex was recognised for delivering exceptional performance and reliable separations, with enough flexibility to be used in applications ranging from high-throughput analysis to pharmaceutical quality control.
The fully bioinert system is specifically designed to provide high speed, resolution and sensitivity, thereby generating high-quality and consistent data for researchers performing biopharmaceutical analyses.
Jakob Gudbrand, president for chromatography and mass spectrometry at Thermo Fisher Scientific, said: "We are proud to deploy the largest research and development budget in our industry to develop high-impact products that allow us to fulfill our mission: to enable our customers make the world healthier, cleaner and safer."
R&D Magazine has been published since 1959, making it one of the most respected publications aimed at research scientists, engineers and technical staff.
