Thermo Fisher Scientific has launched the Gibco CHO-K1 Catalog Panel, a cGMP-ready portfolio of basal and feed media designed to support strong cell growth and protein production across CHO-K1 cell lines. Announced on 23 September 2026, the panel targets biologics and biosimilars developers with multiple ready-to-use combinations delivering up to 73% higher titer versus benchmark products, sharpening Thermo Fisher’s competitive positioning in the growing CHO cell culture media category.

The Gibco CHO-K1 Catalog Panel is available in both liquid and dry powder media (DPM) formats, offering flexible options for process development, scale-up and manufacturing. Chemically defined (CD), animal origin-free (AOF) and cGMP-ready formulations support regulatory considerations across the biologics development lifecycle. In a 14-day fed-batch study using a CHO-K1 GS cell line, select panel combinations demonstrated up to 73% higher titer versus benchmark catalog media and feeds, up to 202% higher peak viable cell density versus benchmark products, and strong product quality performance.
