TTP Labtech boss wins European Life Science Award

TTP Labtech has announced that its managing director Dr Jas Sanghera has won a prestigious accolade at the 2014 European Life Science Awards.

Dr Sanghera was named business leader of the year at the third annual event, which took place in Barcelona last month during the opening reception evening for the European Lab Automation exhibition.

He was presented with the prize in recognition of his successful leadership of the company during tough economic conditions. His strategy has enabled TTP Labtech to maintain growth by rejuvenating existing products, establishing new markets and launching essential new laboratory tools.

The prestigious judging panel included Hakim Djaballah, director of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Anthony Davies, director of the High Content Research Facility at the National Center for High Content Screening and Analysis.

Dr Sanghera said: "With significant opportunities in new markets and several other major product developments coming in the near future, these are exciting times for TTP Labtech."

The firm is headquartered in Cambridge and develops automated laboratory equipment for both the academic and industrial sectors of pharmaceutical and biotech research.
