TTP Labtech launch new screening product

TTP Labtech has launched the latest addition to their portfolio of screening products.

Its RAPid 4 utilises novel Resonant Acoustic Profiling technology in a flow-based analysis system, which performs label-free interaction scrutiny.

The firm claims the product reduces the need to purify samples and generates accurate kinetic, affinity and concentration measurements from complex biological mixtures, such as blood, serum and cell culture.

"RAPid 4 is highly suitable for use in life science and pharmaceutical laboratories, for biotherapeutic development and protein expression analysis," a company statement added.

The organisation maintains the detection of molecular interactions through acoustic technology offers substantial advantages over optical biosensors.

According to the firm, it supplies laboratory-scale instrumentation and develops custom automation for life science companies in the healthcare, biotech and pharmaceutical industries.

TTP Labtech will present at the forthcoming RNAi Europe 2008 event, in Stockholm, Sweden on September 17th-18th followed by appearances at the 4th Annual Compound Management & Integrity in Philadelphia, US on Sept 22nd-23rd and the next day at Drug Discovery 2008 in Bournemouth, UK.
