UCB announces boardroom changes

International biopharmaceutical group UCB has today announced a number of structural changes to its executive committee.

It has emerged that the company, which specialises in a number of treatments for diseases such as epilepsy and multiple sclerosis, has revealed Iris Low-Friedrich and Fabrice Enderlin as the newest members of its executive committee.
The two new members, executive vice-presidents of development and corporate human resources respectively, will form part of the board effective March 1st with Mr Enderlin taking over the duties of Jean-Pierre Pradier who is set to retire at the end of April.

Commenting on the changes, UCB chief executive Roch Doliveux said the appointments were based on the candidates’ expertise in their individual fields and also took the opportunity to thank Mr Predier for his work.

“Jean-Pierre’s contribution to the transformation of UCB has been pivotal. I thank him for his remarkable leadership in putting together an impressive human resources organization and laying the foundation for the new UCB,” he said.

As a global group operating across over 40 countries, UCB announced global revenues of around 3.5 billion euros for 2006.
