UCB presents new rheumatology findings at ACR/ARHP 2014

17th November 2014

UCB is sponsoring 27 data presentations at this week's American College of Rheumatology/Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals (ACR/ARHP) annual meeting.

The company is attending the event in Boston, which commenced on November 14th and runs until November 19th, to share data on a number of approved and investigational therapies for rheumatic conditions.

New findings on the long-term efficacy and safety of its drug Cimzia for the treatment of moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis are being presented, as well as data pertaining to its investigational use in axial spondyloarthritis.

Data will also be discussed on epratuzumab, an investigational medicine in phase III clinical development for systemic lupus erythematosus, and on romosozumab, an investigational osteoporosis therapy.

Professor Dr Iris Loew-Friedrich, chief medical officer and executive vice-president at UCB, said: "Data presentations from our pipeline on epratuzumab and romosozumab reflect our valued partnerships with pharmaceutical companies and research institutions who share our goals."

The company saw strong growth during the first nine months of 2014, thanks in large part to the strong sales of Cimzia.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801760466-ADNFCR
