UniChem strikes partnership deal with AlbaPharm

UniChem, the UK wholesale division of Alliance Boots, has announced an agreement with AlbaPharm, in which it will enter into a first line wholesale partnership with the firm.

Anthony Mayhead, head of independent sales at UniChem, states that the company is pleased to join forces with AlbaPharm.

“UniChem is committed to supporting all of its customers to make the most of business opportunities and we look forward to working in partnership with AlbaPharm to help independent pharmacists to thrive in an ever-changing marketplace,” he notes.

David Currie, chief executive of AlbaPharm, adds that the deal will allow the firm to represent independent community pharmacy as well as providing services to a wider customer base.

Concluding, he notes that the partnership will strengthen AlbaPharm’s position as an industry voice.

In recent weeks, UniChem announced that it has completed introductory training for four new pharmacies that have been recruited to the award-winning Coventry weight management programme.
