Unilever announces planned media services review
Unilever has announced plans to review its media services alignment on a global basis in order to support its future growth plans.
The health and personal care company will be commencing an assessment of its media activities and agency partners in January 2012, covering all four of its main categories across leading countries.
According to Unilever, the purpose of this review is to ensure it is working with the best agencies to realise its goal of doubling the size of its business, while also cutting its environmental impact.
Luis Di Como, Unilever's senior vice-president for global media, added that this is also in line with company policy to review media agency arrangements on a regular basis.
"We will be looking at both strategic planning and in-market execution capabilities from our agency partners," he added.
This comes after the company published a report last month detailing the efforts of its marketers to drive eco-friendly behavioural changes among its customers.
