Unilever makes two changes to management
Unilever has appointed Doug Baillie and Jan Zijderveld to new roles in the company's top management team.
Mr Baillie, the current president of Unilever's western European division, has been chosen for the role of chief human resources officer, a position recently vacated by Sandy Ogg.
His appointment has necessitated the promotion of Mr Zijderveld, the executive vice-president for south-east Asia and Australasia, to occupy the western Europe leadership role.
Both staff members will move into their new positions on February 1st 2011, with Unilever chief executive Pal Polman praising the contributions they have made to the firm's growth during their careers thus far.
"I am extremely pleased to be able to make these changes that strengthen what is already a formidable top team," he added.
This comes after Marketing magazine reported earlier this month that Paul Nevett has been selected as global vice-president of the Unilever brand, a role he will also be taking up on February 1st.
