Verderflex discusses industrial tube pumps in print press sector

Verderflex has reported that across Europe it has successfully installed a number of its M6000 and M8000 industrial tube pumps into facilities that operate in the printing press sector.

In a statement issued today, the organisation explained that such hardware has been used to replace air diaphragm pumps for a number of clients, such as Smurfit Kappa, SCA Packaging and Saica.

"The tube pumps are used to load a printing press’ printing head with ink and to re-circulate the unused ink, using an inverter to reverse flow," Verderflex stated.

A number of benefits associated with industrial tube pumps have been outlined by the company, including an 80 per cent reduction in the amount of ink lost per cleaning cycle.

Further savings are made via a reduction in the amount of waste ink that flows into the effluent treatment plant, the firm noted.

Earlier this month, Verderflex announced the launch of its Aura dosing pump.
