Virbac creates National Microchipping Month support pack
Virbac has announced the launch of a new support pack to help vets raise awareness of National Microchipping Month, which takes place this June.
The pack includes posters, colour-coordinated bunting and balloons, plus other accessories that will help practices to remind pet owners of the need to have their pets implanted with microchips for identification purposes.
In addition to promoting the initiative, the packs give Virbac an opportunity to highlight the benefits of its BackHome microchipping range, which was recently expanded with the introduction of a new Mini Chip option.
The Mini Chips measure just eight mm in length and can be implanted with a needle that is around one-third smaller than the standard option, making them suitable for almost any domestic animal species.
Sarah Walker, BackHome product manager at Virbac, said: "National Microchipping Month is the ideal platform to raise awareness of its importance in all species and to remind clients that they will soon be required by law to ensure that their dogs at least are protected with a microchip."
Virbac previously formed a partnership with VetEnvoy, a service which works with practice management software to enable pet and owner registration details for BackHome Mini Chips to be uploaded to the Petlog database with a single button press.
